Model Train Stuff

looking for a good site for the construction of the model and Trains?
im trying to do my own little town with the trains and houses and shops and people and things like that, I'm just getting into things Train and I'm looking at a couple of good ideas or some guidance on how to scale … im really need help, there is a site I can go see what is there to work? please help What is the smallest scale, I think the best I could more in a smaller area on a smaller scale
You are certain that the smaller the scale of "most" of the city can be accommodated in a particular location. The two popular scales are HO (1:87) and N (1:160) … so you get almost twice the area "in N Scale (my favorite). The MORE GRANDE pointer to make it "to scale" is to go to a hobby shop and buy a ruler … measurements will be shown at … so will be 160 foot N-Scale feet. You just get the measurement of the real thing, and then measure their Rulles scale. It is also good for practicing math to do this work on paper or a calculator. There are tons of sites and manufacturers out there, but since I'm building a specific area, I often construct images … and use of the general rule that almost all the doors are 6 '8 "tall … and I can figure out most of the rest of the dimensions of that. Sites I like to use are those given above … I recommend the purchase of a subscription Model Railway magazine: EDIT http://www.trains.com/mrr/ … the smallest commercially available scale is the scale Z EDIT 1:220 final http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Z_scale
